How do we know when it's okay to take a break from fertility treatment?
We've done three IUIs and one IVF back to back. I'm exhausted, but I'm scared that taking time off will waste precious months.

Wanting a break after several cycles in a row is very understandable. Treatment takes a real physical, emotional and financial toll, and pausing to recover is a legitimate choice, not giving up. Whether a break affects your chances depends mainly on age and your specific reports. For many people, a pause of a few months has little effect on outcomes, but for women in their late 30s or 40s, or with very low ovarian reserve, time can matter more. This is exactly the question to bring to your doctor: 'If we pause for three to six months, how might that change things for us?' Sometimes there are middle paths, such as freezing eggs or embryos now and transferring later. A break can be a chance to: - Rest and reconnect as a couple beyond the treatment schedule. - Review what has happened so far and plan the next step calmly. - Sort out finances and work leave. - Focus on sleep, movement and eating well. If exhaustion comes with lasting low mood, hopelessness, or thoughts of self-harm, that needs attention in its own right. Please speak to a doctor or a mental-health helpline urgently.

My cousin and two close friends announced pregnancies this month. I'm happy for them but I cried after each one and now I feel like a terrible person.
Every gathering turns into 'any good news?' and advice about temples and diets. I dread it.
I cry often, we argue about money and next steps, and I feel I'm failing. Does everyone feel like this?
I've been feeling overwhelmed with tests and appointments. My doctor mentioned a counsellor, but I feel like I should be able to handle this on my own.
