How we keep it safe

1. Screening before posting. Every question and reply is checked for abuse, contact details, spam, promotion and unsafe content. Clear violations are stopped; borderline ones wait for a person.
2. Cooldowns. Repeated violations pause posting for a day; persistent ones lose posting rights for good (tied to the email, so a new browser doesn't reset it).
3. Community reports. Three people reporting a post hides it automatically until a moderator looks.
4. People in the loop. A moderator reviews held posts and reports. Posts that suggest someone is in distress go to the front of the queue.
5. Verified doctors. Doctors are checked against their medical registration before they get a badge, and follow stricter rules: general guidance only, no diagnosis, no promotion.

No filter is perfect. If something slips through, please report it.

Signing in & anonymity

Anyone can read. To ask, reply, like or report you confirm your email with a 6-digit code — no password. Your email is private: it is never shown to other members, and we use it only to run the community and keep it safe (stop repeat abusers, show you your own posts under “Mine”).

For every question and reply you choose whether to post anonymously — you then appear under a friendly name that is different in every thread — or under a nickname you pick, which gives you a small public profile listing only those nickname posts. You can report any post, comment or profile, including doctor profiles; reports are private.
