We may have to travel to another city for IVF. How do people manage the logistics?

There's no fertility centre near our town, so the nearest option is about 300 km away. I'm worried about how many trips we'll need and how to manage scans and injections.

Many couples in India travel for treatment, and with planning it is manageable. The main thing to understand is which steps need you to be physically at the clinic.
For a typical IVF cycle, the first consultation and tests can sometimes be grouped into one or two visits. During stimulation there are usually several monitoring scans over about 10 to 14 days; some clinics allow early scans to be done at a local sonologist and the reports shared, so ask whether that's possible. Egg collection and, if done, a fresh transfer need you in the city, and the trigger injection timing means you should be close by in the last few days. The male partner is needed on collection day unless a sample was frozen in advance.
Injections can usually be given at home after the nurse teaches you, or at a local clinic. Ask about storage and carrying medicines that need cold conditions.
Practical questions for the clinic: Which visits are fixed? Can any scans or blood tests be done locally? Is a frozen transfer easier to schedule around travel? Whom do we contact after hours? Let your doctor know about travel so the plan accounts for it.
