Which reports should I ask the clinic to give me after an IVF cycle?
We only received a short discharge summary, nothing detailed. I want to keep proper records in case we need them later. What should I be asking for?

Keeping your own complete records is a good habit, both for continuity and for any future second opinion. After an IVF or ICSI cycle, it's reasonable to ask for: - Stimulation summary: the protocol used, the doses over the cycle, scan findings and hormone levels during monitoring. - Egg collection report: number of eggs retrieved and how many were mature. - Embryology report: how many fertilised normally, how embryos developed day by day, their grading, and how many were transferred or frozen. - Transfer report: date, day of embryo, number transferred, and any difficulty noted. - Freezing details: number of embryos or eggs stored, storage dates, and the renewal and consent terms. - Semen analysis and sperm preparation details on the day. - Any genetic testing reports, if done. Ask for these in writing or as digital copies, and keep both partners' reports together. If something in a report doesn't make sense, ask your doctor to explain it at your next visit. These reports are information for planning with your doctor, not something to interpret alone.
