All our tests are 'normal' but we still aren't pregnant. What now?

Unexplained infertility is a real and common diagnosis (up to around a quarter of couples). It means standard tests haven't found a cause — not that nothing is wrong; subtle egg or sperm quality, or implantation factors, can't be measured with routine tests. The usual path depends on age and how long you've been trying: a few more months of timed intercourse, then IUI with mild stimulation, and IVF if those don't work — IVF is both treatment and a diagnostic window, since it shows how eggs fertilise and embryos develop. Ask your doctor for a clear timeline so you're not drifting from cycle to cycle.
