Fresh vs frozen embryo transfer — which has better chances?

Our doctor suggests freezing all embryos and transferring later. Is that a good idea or just more cost?

Both are established options, and the best choice depends on your situation. A 'freeze-all' approach lets the uterus and hormone levels settle after stimulation, and is commonly used to lower the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation, for genetic testing of embryos, or when hormone levels or the lining aren't ideal. For many women, frozen transfers have similar or even slightly better outcomes than fresh ones, particularly in those who respond strongly to stimulation. The trade-offs are additional cost for freezing/storage and a few more weeks of waiting. Ask your doctor why freeze-all is being advised for *you* specifically, and what the total cost, including the transfer cycle, will be.
